During Dan's thirty-year military career, as an Army Officer he has extensive experience in event management and has personally run challenges for many high-profile organisations worldwide.

Joe has worked in the outdoor industry for over thirty years and is an experienced rock climbing instructor. Joe is responsible for all operational management during the experience

Paul served in the Merchant Navy for 39 years. Paul has undertaken numerous courses, studied counseling, and is mental health first aid qualified to level 3 many techniques for helping people overcome their fears and anxieties to achieve their goals.

  1. 6pm 10pm

    Sunday evening:

    Welcome

    • 6.00pm Arrive and check in at The Coniston Inn.
    • 7.30pm Welcome brief and introductions
    • 8.00pm Dinner. Set Menu.
  2. 7.30am 10pm

    Monday

    A day of activities and speakers

    • 7.30am Breakfast
    • 8.30am Staff Introductions, collect technical personal equipment and comfort zone brief.
    • 9.30am Outdoor Activity: Hiking, Scrambling, Abseiling, Caves and Tunnels to mention a few. Frequent breaks and refreshments, interval workshops, and mixed-ability groups are designed to encourage an enjoyable experience.
    • 5.00pm Return to hotel.
    • 6.00pm Business, motivational and inspirational speakers.
    • 8.00pm Dinner (and probably some drinks!)
  3. 7.30am 4pm

    Tuesday

    • 7.30am Breakfast.
    • 8.30am Collect technical personal equipment and briefing.
    • 9.00am Full Canyon Descent. Regular breaks and refreshments, interval workshops, mixed-ability groups to promote enjoyable expereinces.
    • 2.00pm Return to hotel. Check Out. Lunch.
    • 3.00pm Final speaker and wrap up.
    • 4.00pm Time to go home and take action!

What exactly is Kindred Spirits Experience?

Do I have to do anything dangerous?

The activities are designed to fit the theme of the event and push comfort zones but is also designed to be achievable, inclusive and safe. A fully trained experienced team will be with you at all times. All participants are covered under our Public Liability Insurance whilst taking part in the weekend.

To foster a more effective and enjoyable learning environment, we should incorporate regular breaks to refresh participants, conduct interval workshops that encourage focused skill development, create mixed-ability groups to promote collaboration and peer learning, and provide safe support systems tailored to individual needs. All of these elements are designed to enhance their day and ensure a positive experience. If you feel that any of these activities aren’t suitable for you, that's perfectly okay. Participation is not mandatory, and you are welcome to skip them.

Do I have to be fit?

You don’t have to be fighting fit or as strong as an ox to take part; a positive mindset and a good sense of humour are far more important to take part in this transformational experience. The whole event has been created for all abilities to enjoy, make memories and have some fun.

Why is this event different from the rest?

The Kindred Spirits Experience seamlessly integrates physical and mental learning and engagement, breaking away from conventional classroom settings or seated learning events.

What is planned during this mastermind event?

To ensure you have the best possible experience, we’ve designed our event with an element of surprise. While we’ve provided you with a preliminary agenda 'see above' to give you a glimpse of what to expect, we’re also excited to reveal that the event will feature high-profile speakers and educators, along with wetsuits and harnesses, among other exciting activities.

We promise you a transformative experience that is not only enriching but also incredibly fun—get ready for lots of unforgettable moments! Hotel, breakfast, lunch and refreshments will also be provided. Basically your entire two days are covered so you relax, have fun, learn and enjoy this two-day experience.

Do I have to share a room at the hotel?

No, you have been upgraded to a single occupancy room at the 4-star The Coniston Inn.

What should I pack?
  • Day-sized rucksack for the day activities
  • Pre-worn walking boots/ sturdy trainers
  • Waterproof jacket and trousers
  • Walking clothes
  • Spare warm clothes
  • Hat and gloves
  • Water bottle
  • Overnight clothing

Yes it is, this is a single-gender event. More information is provided below.

Can I pay through my company?

Any class or training courses that you take to enhance the skills and leadership knowledge that you use in your current business falls under the category of personal development and the full cost can be claimed as an allowable expense. Check with your accountant if unsure.
